PTDI and Polman Bandung Collaborate to Foster Indonesia's Future STEM Talent

Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) (PTDI), through its Corporate Social and
Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Program, continues to play an active role
in supporting the development of highly skilled human resources in the fields
of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). This
commitment was demonstrated through the organization of the DI Edutainment
Industrial Visit and the Bina Talenta Indonesia 2026 Educational Talk
Show, held in collaboration with Bandung Manufacturing Polytechnic
(Polman Bandung) and PT Reka Karsa Indonesia. Conducted at the
Dharma Wanita Building and PTDI's Production Area II in Bandung, the program
provided young Indonesian talents with first-hand learning experiences and
insights into the aerospace industry.
Organized by
the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) under the Ministry of
Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen), the program serves as a
learning platform for outstanding young talents in STEM, coding, and artificial
intelligence (AI). As the host institution for the STEM track at the secondary
education level, Polman Bandung facilitated a talent development program
involving 40 outstanding students from seven provinces across
Indonesia. The participants were given the opportunity to explore aircraft
manufacturing processes and gain a deeper understanding of Indonesia's
aerospace industry through an industrial visit to PTDI.
Through its
TJSL Program, PTDI acted as an industry partner, bridging the STEM learning
initiatives promoted by Kemendikdasmen with Polman Bandung's renewable energy
concepts by providing participants with direct observation and learning
experiences within an operational aerospace manufacturing environment.
Carrying the
theme "The Dynamics of Future Industries: Realizing Renewable Energy in
the Aerospace Industry and Optimizing Human Roles in the AI Era," the
program equipped participants with valuable insights into Green Aviation
implementation, presented by Deni Afriatna, Supervisor of Forming
Manufacturing Engineering at PTDI. Participants also attended a session on essential
human skills in the age of artificial intelligence, delivered by Raihan
Dary Henriana from Foresight–International Open University.
In line with
Puspresnas' focus on AI development, participants were encouraged to become
adaptive future talents capable of solving problems creatively while leveraging
artificial intelligence as a strategic tool to navigate the evolving demands of
the future workforce. The program concluded with a factory tour, where
participants observed aircraft component manufacturing processes and visited
PTDI's Sales Mockup Gallery to gain closer insights into the Company's
flagship aerospace products.
PTDI Corporate
Secretary, Rommy Indah Jayanti, emphasized the importance of preparing
future generations for the rapidly evolving aerospace industry.
"The
aerospace industry continues to advance toward more sophisticated and
sustainable technologies. Therefore, young people must be equipped not only
with strong STEM competencies but also with innovative mindsets, a commitment
to sustainability, and the ability to use artificial intelligence responsibly.
Through our TJSL Program, PTDI aims to serve as a bridge between the education
sector and industry in developing Indonesia's future talents," she said.
Through TJSL
initiatives focused on strengthening the capabilities of younger generations,
PTDI continues to reinforce its contribution to developing highly competitive
human resources who are ready to face the challenges of future industries while
supporting the growth of a competitive and sustainable national industrial
ecosystem.
